Two men injured by gunfire in Center City

Two men were injured by gunfire, one critically, in Center City early Sunday morning, police said.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a shooting about 12:40 a.m. at Broad and Locust Streets, where they found a 19-year-old man outside the Doubletree Hotel with two bullet wounds to the back and stab wounds to the head and back. He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Sunday evening.

Another man, age 18, was found outside 135 S. Broad St. with a gunshot wound to the foot, police said. He also was taken to Jefferson, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
