WILKES-BARRE - A city man was shot in the leg early Sunday, police said.
Mardell Carter, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, told police an unidentified person shot him in the leg around 3:30 a.m. near 50 Birch St., police said.
Mr. Carter was later treated at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Twp. An update on his condition was unavailable on Sunday as police continued to investigate.
