Man shot dead in car
* Baynton and Price streets
A 25-year-old man sitting in a car was fatally shot in East Germantown early yesterday, police said. The car was on Baynton Street near Price when gunfire erupted at 3:10 a.m., and after the man was hit, his car rolled onto the front lawn of a residence, police said.
Hit twice in the chest, the man died at 3:40 a.m. at Albert Einstein Medical Center, police said. The shooting was under investigation.

Police yesterday identified a 30-year-old man stabbed to death in Germantown early Friday as Paul J. Flynn, of Indian Queen Lane near Haywood Street, in East Falls. Flynn was found with several wounds.

A man shot dead in Holmesburg Friday morning was identified by police yesterday as Daniel Knab, 28. Knab, of Robbins Street near Hawthorne in Mayfair, was found with a gunshot wound in his back just before 5 a.m. Cops said they didn't know why he was killed.

Maurice Hampton, 27, was the man found shot dead early Saturday on a North Philadelphia street, police said yesterday.
Hampton was found with two chest wounds at 5:10 a.m. He lived about a block away, on Harlan Street near 24th, police said. They were unsure of what led to the shooting.
Man nabbed in electronics thefts

Daniel Potts, 23, was arrested Friday on multiple counts of theft and receiving stolen property after a tipster saw surveillance footage that appeared to show him stealing goods from an electronics store in South Philadelphia, police said. Potts stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from a Verizon Wireless store, police said. In late January, a surveillance camera recorded Potts allegedly stuffing iPhones and iPads into his sweater, then leaving a Wireless Zone store in Queen Village.
He was being held on $2,000 bail and is scheduled for a March 12 hearing.

A Coatesville man who allegedly hit and killed a young father while driving under the influence on Super Bowl Sunday and then fled, has been arrested, officials announced yesterday.
Michael J. Bristow, 39, has been charged with vehicular homicide and homicide by vehicle while DUI, Chester County officials said. He allegedly struck Michael Orsini, 26, with his 1997 Chevy Cavalier as Orsini rode a motorcycle in East Brandywine Township Feb. 5. Orsini died the next day.
