Four people were shot in Clairton tonight, drawing crowds of onlookers as police collected evidence from the scene.
Allegheny County police said three men and a woman were shot outside a home in the 400 block of Park Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. Neighbors said they heard multiple shots ring out and some ducked for cover.
Sources said one person was shot in the arm, another in the leg and a third in the side. It was not clear where the fourth person was shot.
Police said all four people were in stable condition tonight. Two of the people were taken to UPMC Presbyterian and two were taken to UPMC Mercy.
McKeesport police recovered a vehicle that might be connected to the shooting when they stopped the driver for unrelated reasons. County police said the car was being towed. It was not clear whether the driver was in police custody tonight.
Allegheny County police, who were leading the investigation, said they do not know how many gunmen where involved and they have not released suspect descriptions
