Two members of a Hazleton family were held at knifepoint and gunpoint during a home invasion Thursday morning.
Three people barged into the home, but harmed neither occupant, police said.
Officers rushed to the home in the area of South Cedar and Chestnut streets shortly before 5 a.m.
Police did not release the address of the home while they continued to hunt for the intruders, who ransacked the home while searching for unspecified items.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction, police said.
Anyone who has information on the incident is asked to call police at 911.
