Allegheny County and McKeesport police are investigating a weekend shooting in which two area teens were injured.
A 19-year-old McKeesport man and 16-year-old Duquesne girl were shot Saturday at approximately 9 p.m. in the 1700 block of Fern Alley, McKeesport police said.
Both were transported to Pittsburgh hospitals.
"Due to the nature of the injuries, county police were called, and they took over the investigation," McKeesport Capt. of Detectives Tim Hanna said Sunday.
Officers remained on scene until approximately 12:15 a.m.
