A man who was shot in a park on Pittsburgh's North Side has died.
The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Derrick Brown, 32.
Police were called to a park on Strauss Street in the Perry South section and found the man with a chest wound. The shooting occurred around 9 p.m.
People attempted CPR on the man before emergency units arrived to take him to Allegheny General Hospital, police said. Extra police officers were called into break up a disorderly crowd in the area.
City homicide detectives were investigating. An autopsy was planned today.
