POTTSTOWN — A 20-year-old borough man was shot in the leg after an alleged dispute around 8 p.m. Sunday night, police confirmed Monday.
After police arrived at the scene, they discovered a handgun and bullet casings in the area of Union Alley at North Charlotte Street, according to a new released issued by police on Monday.
The 20-year-old was allegedly in a dispute that involved what witnesses reportedly called “yelling” before they heard sounds of gunfire, according to police.
The wounded man was taken by “friends and family” to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, where he was treated and released for a gunshot wound in the leg, police said.
By the time they arrived, the police reportedly found no suspects in the area of the incident.
Police Chief Mark Flanders said his “detectives have been working tirelessly to identify all of the individuals involved.”
