A Uniontown man who was shot in the head this morning has died.

Uniontown Police Detective Donald Gmitter identified the victim as Marlin Crawford, 28.

Detective Gmitter said Mr. Crawford was shot at about 4:42 A.M. outside a home in the Pershing Court housing complex in Uniontown. The incident happened on the east side of the complex.

Mr. Crawford was flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., where he died.

The detective said Mr. Crawford and one of two suspects who are currently in custody have been embroiled for some in dispute over a woman. "There's been an ongoing beef," the detective said.

Five people, including the two suspects, are being questioned.

The incident this morning involved multiple shots being fired. The detective would not release whether Mr. Crawford had been in possession of a weapon.
