WESLEYVILLE: Man charged in armed robbery

Wesleyville police have charged an Erie man and are looking for a teenager in an armed robbery in the borough on Monday afternoon.

Joshua D. Moyer, 22, and a 16-year-old boy are accused of robbing a man of his wallet at gunpoint Monday at about 4:10 p.m. at South and Center streets in Wesleyville.

Police said the teen pulled a gun on the victim during the robbery, according to the criminal complaint.

There were no reported injuries in the incident.

Moyer, of the 700 block of Plum Street, was arraigned Monday before Greene Township District Judge Susan Strohmeyer on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, conspiracy at theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy at receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Erie County Prison on $50,000 bond.

The 16-year-old boy, who had not been identified Monday, will face adult charges in the incident, police said.
