Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating whether the slaying of a Wilkinsburg teen Saturday night was also a robbery.
Michael Moone-Parrotte, 17, was found fatally shot about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, not far from where his family lives in the Hunter Park section of Wilkinsburg. The medical examiner's office said he died of a gunshot wound to his torso.
Allegheny County police offered few glimpses into the killing Monday but said the teen may have argued with someone in the park before the shots were fired.
Police said they found cash on the teen's body but they believe more of it was taken by the gunman.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the county's homicide unit at 412-473-1300.
