A man shot his mother multiple times before shooting and killing himself early Tuesday morning in the city's Beechview neighborhood, 911 dispatchers said.
The man called 911 around 12:35 a.m., dispatchers said, and said he had shot his mother. When police reached the scene at 2001 Broadway Ave., the man was found dead on the porch.
Dispatchers said his mother was transported to UMPC Presbyterian Hospital, where her condition is not known.
