Police in several communities chased a car involved in a shooting tonight that happened in Easton before the vehicle crashed near Route 22 in Whitehall Township.
The incident began about 10 p.m. when Easton police reported shots fired from a Toyota Camry in the vicinity of South 14th and Lehigh streets. The vehicle fled west into Wilson and Palmer Township before eventually heading west on Route 22.
A short time later, that car crashed along the Fullerton Avenue exit of Route 22 in Whitehall Township. A shift supervisor with the Northampton County 911 center said the car was the same vehicle involved in the Easton shooting.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.
