Allegheny County police homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in McKees Rocks.
County police Lt. Andrew Schurman of the homicide unit said McKees Rocks police responded to a report of shots at around 1:50 a.m. and found a man slumped over the wheel of a Toyota sedan in the 900 block of White Alley.
The man, shot in the upper torso, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Lt. Schurman said police believe about five shots were fired through the driver's side windows, shattering them.
Police believe the shooting may have been connected to "some type of robbery involving drugs," he said.
Neither county police nor the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office released the dead man's name.
