A man died in a shooting in McKees Rocks early this morning.
Scott King, 19, of Verona was found in a car in the 900 block of White Alley about 2 a.m., a spokesman with the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said. King died at Allegheny General Hospital about 2:30 a.m., he said.
Detectives believe King was the target of a robbery, Allegheny County police Lt. Andrew Schurman said. Drugs may be involved, he said.
Police found King in the driver's seat of the car with a gunshot wound to his upper torso, Schurman said.
It appears someone shot King from outside the car, and the car then drifted into a fence, Schurman said.
