A 22-year-old man fired several shots into his ex-girlfriend's northwest Reading apartment early Thursday morning while she and her child were inside, police said.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for James Tisdale, whose last known address is in the 200 block of West Oley Street, after the incident about 3:30 a.m. Tisdale is charged with shooting a firearm into an occupied structure, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
He remained at large Thursday.
According to police:
Tisdale called the woman on his cellphone while he was outside the apartment building at Ritter and West Douglass streets - formerly known as the Grammary Court Apartments - and said he was coming to her apartment. She told him that she would not open the door.
Tisdale went to the second-floor apartment, fired a shot through the door, left the building and fired several more shots. One of the shots fired from outside the building went through the window of the woman's apartment.
No one was injured.
Tisdale was last seen in the 700 block of Ritter.
