WILKES BARRE: Bullets hit apartment, vehicle

Shots rang out inside an apartment building in Sherman Hills on Sunday morning, and Wilkes-Barre City police are getting to the bottom of what happened.

Officers were in the area of Building 308 in the North Empire Court apartment complex at the time, investigating a domestic dispute, when they heard seven to eight gunshots and saw four men fleeing into Building 316.

Police searched the building but were unable to find the suspects. There were three bullet holes in the door of Apartment 414 in Building 316, but residents said they did not know the identity of the shooting suspects.

There was also a bullet hole in a Kia vehicle owned by a resident of the apartment.

Police collected evidence and the incident remains under investigation.
