Gary Biddle, 51, was charged with shooting his 26-year-old son after an incident in the first block of Biddle Road in Silver Spring Township late Thursday night, according to Silver Spring Township Police.
Police say they were dispatched to the area at 9:55 p.m. for a report of a gunshot victim. On arrival, they determined that during an argument, Biddle shot his son in the left arm and chest with one round from a .38 caliber handgun, according to police.
EMS treated the son at the scene before transporting him to Hershey Medical Center via ambulance. A hospital spokesperson said the son was in fair condition Friday morning.
Biddle was transported to Cumberland County Prison Booking Center. He is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.
Bail was set at $25,000 monetary, which was posted. A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. June 27 in front of Magisterial District Judge Paula Correal.
