SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA: Young woman slain at home

20-year-old woman died Wednesday night as a result of gunshot wounds inflicted at her home in Southwest Philadelphia.

At 7:34 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of South Frazier Street where they found Saleemah Friend in a front bedroom on the second floor.

She had been shot in the head, and was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was pronounced dead at 9:59 p.m., police said.

No motive or suspect was known this morning.
