State police at Uniontown are searching for a man who held up a PNC branch in Fayette County on Wednesday.
A white male robbed the bank at 1206 National Pike Road in Hopwood about noon and fled with an undetermined amount of money, police said.
The man entered the bank, walked up to a teller and placed a small-caliber handgun on the countertop, pointing it at the teller, police said.
The robber was handed an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot, Trooper James A. Pierce said. He walked across Furnace Road and was last seen walking near Village Laundromat.
He is described as in his 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build and dark brown hair. He was wearing dark-rimmed glasses and a tan ball cap.
