A 32-year-old Ashley man was shot in the torso early Monday outside an Ashley bar on North Main Street, which is across the street from the borough police station.

Police said the shooting occurred after the victim, suspect and another man left the Pour House bar. The shooter fled in a black Mitsubishi or Toyota sport utility vehicle, police said. The other man fled in a Chevrolet Impala, police said.

The victim, who was not identified, underwent surgery at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township and is expected to survive, police said.

Investigators are not sure what led to the shooting.
