The Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, was robbed Monday morning by a man with a handgun, police said.
The man threatened a Sonic employee with a gun at 5 a.m. and went into the 1753 Airport Road restaurant, where he took cash from a filing cabinet, state police at Bethlehem said.
The robber was described as 5-foot-9 and stocky, and wearing black pants, a black, hooded jacket and a black baseball hat.
The man fled on foot, north toward Route 22, police said.
