PLYMOUTH - Police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday at 401 First St. that left three people dead and one person hospitalized.
The shooting occurred around 7:45 p.m. at an apartment building, and police quickly blocked First and Orchard streets with police line tape.
Police entered the building shortly after the shooting, but were waiting for a search warrant around 10 p.m. to begin a search, said Deputy District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce.
Mr. Sanguedolce said the Luzerne County coroner was heading to the crime scene late Saturday. A state police forensic unit was parked in front of the house.
A witness said he heard three shots fired and then saw someone lying motionless before police came. He said he saw two men run from the house after the shooting.
Police have searched the area, knocked on several doors and conducted several interviews.
