Reading police are looking for a man who fired a handgun at two brothers during an argument at Greenwich and Birch streets, also endangering three children who were in the line of fire, investigators said Thursday.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Antonio Laurencio, 55, address unknown, on five counts each of reckless endangerment and aggravated assault, and related charges.
According to investigators:
Laurencio approached the brothers, ages 28 and 30, while they were repairing the engine of a car parked on the street Wednesday about 11 a.m.
He argued with one of them about money. Further details were unavailable.
Laurencio pulled out a gun and fired at the brothers, who ran.
One of the brothers ran toward a house and Laurencio continued to fire at him even though there were two 6-year-olds and a 3-year-old on the porch.
No one was hit by the bullets, but at least one vehicle was struck.
Laurencio is described as a dark-skinned Latino with long dreadlocks.
Investigators asked anyone with information on Laurencio's whereabouts to call police at 610-655-6116.
