Wilkes-Barre police are trying to determine who shot a woman at the Valley View Terrace high-rise apartment complex Monday night.
Police said the woman was shot in the leg around 8:30 p.m., and the incident was under investigation.
Residents said the shooting occurred on the sixth floor of the apartment complex at 215 High St. Police instructed residents to stay in the hall or outside while they searched for the shooter.
