Easton police said a man armed with a handgun robbed a woman walking with a 4-year-old girl early Monday morning.
Police said the robbery happened around 6 a.m. in the 1000 block of Washington Street. Neither the woman nor the girl were injured, said Easton police Inspector Dan Reagan.
According to police:
Officer Nathan White was in the area on an unrelated matter when he heard a woman screaming for help.
Police said the victim is a 28-year-old Easton woman. She told police a man with a handgun stole her large, purple purse with a multi-colored pattern on it.
The suspect is a white man, tall and thin, who was wearing black jeans and no shirt. Police said he partially covered his face with a piece of clothing, possibly his shirt.
