A 28-year-old man became the 289th murder victim in Philadelphia this year after he died of a gunshot wound to the head in Fairhill Wednesday night.
Police said the victim was at Mascher and Cambria streets when someone shot him once at 7:51 p.m. He was pronounced dead there at 8 p.m.
