A 31-year-old man was shot to death on a Kensington street Monday night, police said.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said police were called to F Street near Lippincott at 7:35 p.m. and found the man lying on the sidewalk with at least one gunshot wound to the back. Cops took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:46 p.m.
Small said a surveillance camera inside a corner store at nearby F and Wishart streets captured the man buying candy just before he was shot. Police were checking to see if that camera captured a suspect or recorded any of the shooting.
