York police say they responded to a fight at the Veterans Political Association early this morning, wound up in a shootout with people at the scene and found one person dead.
A city police news release did not indicate whether the person who died had been shot. Police did not identify who died.
The news release did not indicate whether anyone had been arrested. Police did not say specifically whether the shooting was connected to the VPA itself; the news release only listed VPA as the site of the incident. Evidence markers are in the parking lot in front of the VPA and to the right of it as you face the building.
