Take Action

Let your state and federal officials know where to stand on illegal guns

What we hear in Harrisburg from representatives is that despite our polling that 96 percent of Pennsylvanians favor stronger handgun safety reforms, like lost or stolen handgun reporting, the legislators claim they only hear from the 4 percent of gun rights supporters and the gun lobby.  If you support CeaseFirePA’s work across the state to reduce and prevent gun violence in your communities, we urge you to contact your local, state and federal elected officials and let your voice be heard: Be part of the 96 percent and do something about it!

Keeping guns out of criminal hands will make our streets safer—that’s why CeaseFirePA’s new partner Moms Against Guns is distributing a petition in support of legislative initiatives that encourage responsible gun ownership.

Political advisors told us that 10,000 signatures would get some policymakers' attention, 25,000 would show we were serious, but 50,000 could turn a vote. Your signature could help change policy.

Please add your voice to the thousands who have already signed our petition, and a letter will be sent to your State Representative and State Senator to let them know that you stand for commonsense gun laws.
