I know that sometimes it’s hard to know whether our efforts are paying off. The legislature refuses to act on the good bills we know will make PA safer, and we spend a lot of time trying to convince our officials not to do things that are dangerous.
But our hard work is paying off. Our opponents know it, and they’re publicly admitting it. Here’s what Kim Stolfer, head of Firearms Owners Against Crime, one of the most extremist gun groups, had to say about what’s going on in Harrisburg:
“He noted that initiatives his group supports have run out of steam in the Legislature. They include a plan to switch from a state to a federal system for background checks, a proposal to bar municipalities from passing their own gun ordinances, and a bill that would require Pennsylvania law enforcement to recognize concealed carry permits.”
Does that agenda sound familiar? It should. You’ve been working with us all session to block these dangerous policies. Well, it’s working and the gun guys know it.
Please continue to stand with us. Our numbers are growing, our voices are getting louder. While they get frustrated, we keep busy. That’s the path to success.
Thanks for all you do, and keep up the great work.
