As the 5th anniversary of the tragedy at Newtown passed gun violence prevention groups across the Commonwealth marked the occasion by calling attention to the suffering of victims of gun violence, and continuing to call on the State and Federal legislatures to bring about meaningful change to help ensure that not one more person suffers for the devastating loss of gun violence.
CeaseFirePA hosted a vigil at Broad Street ministries. The Philly Tribune made a moving video from that vigil.
In Allentown citizens gathered to read the names of all children lost to gun violence.
And CeaseFirePA Executive Director Shira Goodman penned an op-ed calling for the legislature to step up.
