Brian Judy, a Washington-based NRA lobbyist, has taken delusion to a whole new level. On Monday, an audio clip surfaced in which Judy links gun control measures to the Holocaust and aggressively scolds Jews for supporting gun safety policies, which he believes caused genocide in Nazi Germany.

“It’s like any Jewish people I meet who are anti-gun, I think, ‘are you serious? Do you not remember what happened?’ And why did that happen? Because they registered guns and then they took them,” Judy explains on the tape. “Why did you have to flee to this country in the first place? Hello! Is anybody home here?”

Judy’s incendiary and offensive remarks were triggered by increasing support for a ballot measure which would expand background checks in Washington if passed in the state’s upcoming elections. In response to the comments, the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle called for the lobbyist’s resignation during a press conference held earlier today. “It was ludicrous; to link closing a loophole and making the law apply equally in all situations to the Holocaust is beyond offensive,” Keith Dvorchik, President of the Jewish Federation, explained to The Seattle Times on Monday evening.

Numerous Washington legislators and gun violence survivors have also condemned the comments, but the NRA has yet to release a statement.
