Today marks the six-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Newtown, CT. On April 17th, lawmakers blocked a proposal to expand background checks. There is still much work to be done. In the six months since the tragedy in Newtown, there have been 10 mass shootings that have resulted in 44 deaths. Today and every day, CeaseFirePA remembers the twenty children and six adults who were gunned down on December 14th. We are dedicated to achieving common sense gun laws to prevent future tragedies, reduce gun violence, stop the flow of illegal guns into our streets, and keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have them.
