Founded in 1982, Pittsburgh North People for Peace (PNPP) is an organization which seeks to bring individuals and organizations who are concerned about peace and social justice issues, locally, nationally and internationally, together to promote open discussion, educate the community on relevant topics and whenever possible encourage positive action to create a more peaceful and just world.  Recent forums featuring expert speakers have included such current issues as immigration, gun safety, economic justice, sexual abuse in the military and peaceful solutions in the Middle East. PNPP is an affiliate of the Thomas Merton Center, Pittsburgh’s peace and social justice center.
