Alex Toner is the Director of Individual Giving for the Gun Violence Prevention Cooperative: a shared services hub between five of the nation’s leading state-based gun violence prevention groups. Based within CeaseFire PA, Alex leads efforts to build and deepen relationships with individual donors who are committed to safer, stronger communities throughout PA, DE, OR, TX, and WI.

Alex brings over 15 years of experience leading fundraising strategy, major donor engagement, and cross-functional advancement initiatives with non-profit organizations of all sizes. Throughout his career, he has built trusted relationships with donors, institutional partners, executive leaders, and board members to help organizations translate vision into meaningful philanthropic investment and long-term impact.

He is passionate about connecting supporters to work that drives meaningful social change and is proud to support the Cooperative’s efforts to prevent gun violence through community partnership, education, and advocacy.

Alex lives in Philadelphia (Go Birds!) with his partner and daughter, and loves to explore the city, travel, cook, and get involved with his community.
