Board President

Alicia Andrews is President of the CeaseFirePA Education Fund and CeaseFirePA Action Boards of Directors. In her professional experiences, she has witnessed first-hand the indelible and destructive toll gun violence has on individuals, families, and whole communities. That is why Alicia got involved – to ensure a safer Pennsylvania for all.

Alicia has 20 years of experience in human services and nonprofit management. Throughout her career, she’s worked with children, families and communities and has responded to community needs through impactful programming.

Currently, Alicia is the Program Officer at Eden Hall Foundation, where she helps to identify strategic grant opportunities, reviews and vets proposals and monitors outcomes. What’s more, she provides grantees with technical support and guidance, researches nonprofit and industry trends and supports the foundation’s Executive Director.

She began her career as a program associate at the Human Services Center Corporation and ultimately became the associate director, responsible for overseeing all of the center’s youth programs and operations.

Alicia once served as associate director of operations in the Office of University Development at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine. Most recently, she served as Director of Programs for Children and Youth at United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Her most noteworthy accomplishments include graduation from the Leadership Development Initiative XI and Leadership Pittsburgh XXII, participation in Conversations with The Forbes Funds and being named one of Pittsburgh’s 40 Under 40 by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Alicia earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and master’s degrees in social work and public administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
