Well, despite our best efforts, last week, the PA Senate passed the dangerous bill we told you about — HB 49. This bill extends the time for armed guards in schools to get mandatory, specialized training for school officers. But in the interim, they will still be permitted to be armed in our kids’ schools! For now, they can have guns in schools with the minimal training required of the average mall cop. This is dangerous! Please ask your Rep. to vote No on HB 49 as the Senate amended it and send a message that Harrisburg should stop playing games with school safety.
