CeaseFirePA Applauds Philadelphia’s Lawsuit Against Ghost Gun Manufacturers

Philadelphia — Yesterday, the City of Philadelphia announced it is suing two of the largest manufacturers of ghost guns confiscated in the city – Polymer80, Inc and JSD Supply – to protect public health and safety. The lawsuit aims to halt these companies’ illegal marketing, sale, and disbursement of unserialized ghost gun kits in Philadelphia and seeks to collect payment for damages to address the harms caused by Polymer80, Inc’s and JSD Supply’s negligent behavior.

Adam Garber, CeaseFirePA Education Fund’s Executive Director, issued the following statement in response:

“We applaud the City of Philadelphia’s action to hold Polymer80, Inc and JSD Supply accountable for their failure to abide by state and federal laws, resulting in the escalation of Philadelphia’s gun violence epidemic, the endangerment of our communities, and the loss of too many lives. Gun manufacturers are ignoring public safety laws with deadly consequences. While we can’t bring back the people lost due to their fatal game, the court can save the next life by finding these companies liable. We look forward to the City of Philadelphia and Giffords Law Center proving their case in court, holding Polymer80, Inc and JSD Supply accountable, and sending a strong message to all gun manufacturers that they are not above the law.”
